
We are dedicated to being “Beth Am” – The House of the People. Located in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, our congregation is over 600 families strong and represent diverse traditions ranging from traditional Jewish backgrounds to those of other faiths. All of our families, regardless of their faith tradition are welcome to participate in many ways at Congregation Beth Am. Our congregation is strong as a result of the talents and dedication of both our membership and our professional staff who work together to create the vibrant community that we are today. There is also an active temple youth group (BATY) as well as events and programs geared toward the adult learner.
Members of Congregation Beth Am develop lifelong friendships through participation in Chavurot - small affinity groups that come together to pursue common interests. The concept of Chavurah was one of the founding principles of Beth Am as our congregation to started as an offshoot of a Chavurah. Congregation Beth Am is a member of URJ -The Union of Reform Judaism (formerly known as the Union of American Hebrew Congregations). The URJ is the umbrella organization of the Reform Movement in the United States. Reform Congregations all across the United States are affiliated with the Union.

ARZA - An additional affiliation brought to us by our belonging to the Reform Movement. ARZA-Association of Reform Zionist of America is dedicated to supporting the growth of the Reform Movement in Israel and world-wide.
