House of the People

Congregation Beth Am is a strong and loving congregational community dedicated to the enrichment and perpetuation of the greater Reform Jewish community.  We are able to accomplish our mission through our passionate dedication to the Jewish ideals of Avodah (Worship), Talmud Torah (Lifelong Learning), and Tikkun Olam (Social Action), all within the context of building a better world.  We are the House of the People.

Beth Am's website is where you will learn about our temple, and find plenty of up-to-date information about our congregation, our programs, our leadership, and our Hebrew School. Congregation Beth Am is a Reform Jewish congregation.  The Synagogue and temple is located in Buffalo Grove, Illinois which serves the Northwest Chicago suburbs of Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills, Arlington Heights, Long Grove, Lincolnshire, Libertyville, and Wheeling.  We feel we have some of the best programming amongst Jewish Reform congregations and temples.

Our congregation is led by Rabbi Lisa Sari Bellows and Rabbi Richard Prass is our Director of Education.  Congregation Beth Am is a vibrant community that welcomes you to find your spiritual home within our Beth Am family.  We have worship opportunities and programming for people of all ages ranging from Family Shabbat to Adult worship, in addition to youth programming and special guest speakers for adult learners.
