Service Information Torah Blessings - This is a Hebrew/transliterated copy of the blessings that individuals say when they are honored with an “Aliyah”. In our congregation each family is given 3 aliyot, though the first aliyah is given to the Bar or Bat Mitzvah child. Prayer Leaflet – This is a copy of all of the prayers that your child is expected to know for his or her Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Your child will review these prayers and be tested on them during their Prayer Proficiency class with Cantor Wunch. Service Attendance Policy - We ask that your family attend worship services during the year leading up to your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah. For more specific information please refer to this link. Invitation to Participate - It is our custom at Congregation Beth Am to be inclusive of all family members, Jew and non-Jew alike. Please refer to this if you are filling out the service outline for your son or daughter’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Individual outlines will be emailed separately to your family prior to your simcha. Parent's Prayer Guidelines- We at Congregation Beth Am would like to offer families the opportunity to address your child with a personal Parent’s Prayer at the beginning of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony.
