 Donations    Donation Descriptions 

Please refer to the table below for a detailed description of each of the funds:

DESCRIPTION

Rabbi Bellow's DiscretionaryDisbursed by the Rabbi, at her discretion, to meet many charitable and educational needs in the Congregation and the community.
  
Cantor Wunch's Discretionary FundDisbursed at the discretion of  the Cantor, to meet many charitable and educational needs in the Congregation and the community.
  
Beth Am Temple Youth (BATY)Provides scholarship and program funding to our temple's high school youth group.
  
Robert Terry Hunger Awareness FundProvides funds to support projects  and education to fight hunger in the community.
  
Adult EducationFunds are used to help maintain and improve adult education programming.
  
Caring Partners FundProvides meals, visits and transportation for  families experiencing illness, loss or other crises.
  
Chesed FundProvides financial assistance for new members. 
  
Children's Library FundFunds are used to build a Judaica collection of books, tapes and music for children.
  
Craig Aronow Memorial Prayer BookSupports the maintenance and repair of our prayer books. 
  
Education FundHelps maintain and improve programming and equipment for our Religious and Hebrew School.
  
Food PantryHelps to feed needy families in our area.
  
General FundProvides funding for the daily activities of Congregation Beth Am.
  
Memorial Plaque ($350 members - $600 non member)Donations to this fund are used to purchase memorial plaques; as well as, the maintenance and upkeep of the board.
  
Music FundProvides funding to help purchase new music for the various musical groups at Beth Am.
  
Olin-Sang-Ruby- Union Institute (OSRUI)Provides scholarships to Camp OSRUI and other youth programs of the Reform Movement.
  
Prayer Book ($54 for one, $100 for two)Purchases prayer books for Congregational use.
  
Ted Schwartz Memorial LibraryFunds acquisitions (books, tapes, and music) for the temple library.
  
Torah FundDonations are applied to the upkeep and repair of our Torahs.
  
Tree of Life -                             FOR SIMCHAS ONLY               ($180 per leaf - members  $360 non-members)Donations to this fund are used to purchase leaves; as well as, the maintenance and upkeep of the board.
  
YahrzeitDonations to this fund are entered into the General Fund in memory of a loved one.
