Cantor Arnold E. Schultz, Emeritus Cantor Schultz has served as hazzan at Beth Am since 1981. Cantor Schultz became our Cantor Emeritus in 2004 and continues to serve in this capacity. "The hazzan, besides being a leader of prayer and one of the temple's spiritual leaders, has the responsibilityof keeping alive and nourshing jewish music in this generation. Here at Beth Am , we appreciate the value and beauty of both traditional and new music and utilize all styles of music in our worship and celebrations." Born and raised in Chicago, Cantor Schultz is married to Susie Schultz and has two children, Lesley who is married to Aric, and Michael. |
